Medifast 70 Shakes Actually, I have lost weight fast using diet shakes as meal replacements.  My two favorite shakes are the Slim Fast Shake and the Medifast 70 Shakes

Medifast 70 shakes are formulated for individuals who prefer a higher protein count. The great tasting shakes are soy based, heart healthy, and contain 14 total grams of protein per shake. 

I also like the Slim-Fast shakes because they taste good, but they don't have the same nutritional value as the Medifast shakes.  Slim Fast Shakes are a bit higher in calories and lower in protein.  Overall, I have found that the higher protein drinks work best for me.

I have also used the EAS shakes that you can find at Costco or Wal-Mart.  Sometimes I even find them at my local grocery store; however, they seem to have changed the formulation and they don't taste good at all.  In fact, recently I purchased some of these ready made shakes and I could not drink it, which is a shame as they had around 20 grams of protein per shake and low calories.

I lost weight using the diet shakes as replacements for breakfast and lunch (very convenient too) and had a couple of high protein snacks like a handfull of nuts, and then a light dinner of lots of veggies and baked chicken or fish.  Don't forget to add some fruits, especially early in the day.  Doing this, I easily lost about 7 pounds in a week.

Want to lose weight?  How long does it take to lose weight?  Well this is a great question, and the answer is as varied as there are dieters out there.  

Everyone is different.  Some people can lose weight faster than others, but it really depends on your commitment to a weight loss program, how much you have to lose, and the method you use to do it. 

There are programs such as the The Medifast diet that has been clinically proven to be safe and effective to help individuals lose as much as 20 pounds in one month. The Medifast plan is a convenient meal replacement diet program that requires no weighing your food, no counting carbs, and no counting points.  Also, there is minimal cooking, so there is no big time commitment, either.

Other similar plans include Nutrisystem and Jenny Craig.  Many people with busy lifestyles find that these diet meal plans that provide all the meals for you are easier to follow and stick to.  The foods taste good, and are varied so you don't get tired of the food. 

I tried the 6-week Body Makeover recently and although I lost a few pounds it was too difficult to stick with.  I felt as if all I did was cook all day, and I really didn't have the time for it.  You are required to eat 5-6 times a day, and it was chicken and rice at just about every meal.  It was time consuming and boring!

How do we lose weight?  Well, we just have to take in fewer calories than we expend.  So you may be able to add a bit of exercise to your daily routine, or change some of your eating habits to lose.  

Keep in mind that recent studies show that it is best to make smaller changes at a time.  They suggest adding a 30 minute walk each day to your routine, or changing your full fat latte for a skim milk latte.  Try making a small change each week or each day.  You'll really see the difference.
